Craig Wolff, 60, of rural Effingham, died at 9:39 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont with Rev. Dr. James F. Wright officiating with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 at the church. Memorials may be made to A.L.I.S., Immanuel Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

CDC and IDPH guidelines with respect to Covid-19 will be required.

Craig Lynn Wolff was born on Monday, March 6, 1961 in Effingham to Raymond and Bernice (Budde) Wolff. He married Nanci Soltwedel on November 19, 1983 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham. He was a lifelong grain and dairy farmer, a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was an Elder, and a member of the school board of A.L.I.S. He was also a member of the Effingham County Farm Bureau and served on the Farm Credit Board.

He is survived by his wife of over 37 years, Nanci; sons, David (Bailey) Wolff of Effingham and Eric (fiancé, Morgan Sacia) of Effingham; daughter, Lindsey (Dalton) Whitley of Petersburg, IL; sister, Anita (Lloyd) Alwardt of Altamont; grandchildren, Maggie and Max Wolff and Weslyn, Wryn, and Windsor Whitley.
