Donald Lee Belleville, 78, of Effingham, formerly of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 16, 2013 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

Funeral services for Don will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham with pastor Larry Cline officiating. Visitation is from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, April 18th with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m., also at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Loy Chapel Cemetery, rural Effingham with Mr. Mark Ellis playing the Bagpipes. Condolences may be left online at www.hallfuneralchapel.com. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Don was born on September 24, 1934 in Dupo, IL, the son of William G. and Bonnie (Lowless) Belleville. He was a graduate of Dupo High School and in September of 1951 he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served three tours of duty in Korea, before being discharged in September of 1953. Don married Betty May Walker on March 30, 1963 at the Old Union Church in Bible Grove, IL, and she survives. He was retired from the Pipefitters and Pipeline – Wood River Local #553. Don was a member of the Edgewood Masonic Lodge #484 AFFAM, the Scottish Rites Body of Southern Illinois, and the Shriners – AINAD Temple, East St. Louis, Illinois.

Survivors include: wife; Betty, 3 children; William (Gail) Belleville of Moro, IL, Cheryl (Steve) Fulk of Effingham, and Chester (Wendy) Belleville of Effingham, 7 grandchildren; Zachary and Lucas Belleville of Moro, Kelsey, Ethan, and Travis Fulk of Effingham, and Layton and Lane Belleville of Effingham, brother; William Robert (Barb) Belleville of Panama City, FL, and 2 sisters; Betty Dixon of Dupo and Alice Lawrence of Waynesville, MO, and brother-in-law Jim Procter of South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 sisters; Mary Jane Procter, Helen Tanner and June Kelley.
