Karen M. Waldhoff, 80 of Teutopolis, passed away Thursday morning, August 19, 2021 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery.

Karen was born March 24, 1941 in Peoria, the daughter of the late Frank and Lucille (Grunloh) Thoele. She married Cletus F. Waldhoff on April 23, 1960. Karen worked for USDA for 10 years and was a long-time member of St. Francis Church in Teutopolis. Karen enjoyed camping, dancing, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. 

Karen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Clete of Teutopolis; sons, Tony (Paula) of Teutopolis, Todd (Stephanie) of Teutopolis, Tom (Cathy) of Teutopolis, Scott of Hudson, NC, Roy (Lisa) of Shumway and Russ (Amber) of Dalton City; daughters, Tammy (Jeremy) Buening of Mt. Zion and Terri (Anthony) Niemerg of Edgewood; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
