Robert K. "Kerry" Monical (65) of Effingham

Robert K. “Kerry” Monical, 65, Effingham, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

A celebration of life will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 with a visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials can be made to the Watson Baptist Church, Watson, IL. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here.

Kerry was born on November 27, 1955, in Clay City, IL, the son of Lola Ruth (Patridge) and Robert Carl Monical. He married Angie Loy on May 3, 2008. Kerry worked for many years as a laborer for Howell Asphalt where he truly loved his job and the people he worked with every day. More recently, Kerry worked for C & C Crane Service for his good friend Allen Campton. Kerry retired and spent much of his time enjoying his 55 Chevy, being the “fix it man”, and swapping stories at morning coffee with the guys. Kerry was an amazing husband and father.

Kerry is survived by his wife, Angie of Effingham; son, Sean Dammerman of Effingham; brother, Charlie (wife, Giselle) Monical and nephews Scott and Brad Dawson, all of Arizona; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kerry was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Cathy Dawson.
