Nevada “Peggy” Fender, 82, of Louisville passed away at 11:52 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Nevada was born on January 15, 1939, in Missouri, the daughter of the late Christopher and Martha (Colman) Johnson. She married Luther Dale “Dick” Fender, Sr., on July 10, 1954 in Salem and they shared 64 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on February 10, 2019.

She enjoyed cooking, mainly for her grandchildren, talking on the phone and fishing. To everyone who knew Peg, knew she was a loving and caring with just about everyone. Her family was her greatest treasure.

Peg is survived by her children; Luther Dale (Debbie) Fender, Jr., of Clay City, Elizabeth Ann (Doug Wildbur) Albert, of Xenia, 6 grandchildren; Joey (Mandy) Fender, Jessica McKinney, Joshua (Amy) Albert, Bradley (fiancé Jessica) Albert, Molly Pyatt, and Austin Wildbur, sister; Linda (Ray Dean) Heiden, of Louisville, brother; Christopher (Bert) Johnson, of Hord, 15 great grandchildren, and several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and step great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and good friends.

In addition to her parents, husband, Peggy was preceded in death by an infant daughter; Peggy Louise Fender, 2 brothers; Johnny, Charlie, 5 sisters; Christine, Anna, Thelma, Mary Lou, and Margaret.

Funeral services honoring the life of Peggy will be held at 12 noon Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home with Ronnie Frazier officiating, burial will follow at the Old Union Cemetery, Bible Grove. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning at the funeral home where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon.
