Brian D. Austin, 43, of Teutopolis, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, IL. Brian was born on July 20, 1977, in Effingham, IL, the son of Norvan Dean and Jane Frances (Bourgeois) Austin. Brian was a substitute teacher at Newton High School and Teutopolis High School. He was currently employed at the Golden Corral in Effingham. He enjoyed travelling, watching sports, the Chicago Cubs, and playing cards, especially Pinochole.
Brian is survived by his mother, Jane Austin (Bob Cox); brother, Kevin Austin; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and several close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Clarence and Ella Faye Austin and Jim and Marcella Bourgeois; cousin, Scott Westendorf; and uncle, Edwin Austin.
