Helen P. Gingrey, 76, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 10:07 p.m. on Monday, July 5, 2021 in Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Shelbyville, IL.

Helen was born on November 20, 1944, in Eldred, the daughter of Alfred and Hilda (Scott) Fielder. She owned and operated J and H Tropical Fish and Supplies in Shelbyville, for nearly 30 years, where her passion and greatest pride was caring for and nurturing her client’s four-legged family members. She also enjoyed crocheting and shopping.

Surviving are her children: Richard Alan Lanham of Orting, WA, Garry (Karin) Lanham of Neoga and Tonya (Robert) Huddleston of Shelbyville; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and brother, Garry Fielder of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Sonny and sister, Erlene.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Helen’s name to Saving Orphaned Animals Shelby County or to the family to be given to the nurses at Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for the loving care provided to their mother and grandmother. Lockart-Green Funeral Home is assisting the family.
