Dora L. Sly (57) of Effingham

Dora L. Sly, 57, of Effingham, died at 5:43 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will be in Higbee Cemetery, Higbee, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
Dora Lee Sly was born on Tuesday, September 17, 1963 in Columbia, Missouri to Noble and Violet (Grimes) Sly. She had miscellaneous and varied occupations. She was a State of Illinois Horseshoe Throwing Champion.
She is survived by her brother, Clay (Deanna) Sly of Moberly, MO; sisters, Janet Johnson of Ellington, MO, Opal (Clarence) Pagel of Altamont; twin sister, Donna Jones of Ellington, MO, and Debbie Welch of Iola; and many nieces and nephews.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Kenneth, Marvin and David Sly and sister, June Sly.
