Eileen Anna Ehrat, age 95, formerly of St. Peter, Illinois passed away at 7:20 p.m.Thursday, June 10, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2021 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Illinois. There will be a visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Pastor Timothy Landskroener will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in St. Peter, Illinois. Memorials may go to Lutheran Care Center, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church nativity fund, Alzheimer’s Association, or the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.

Eileen was born on December 14, 1925 in Fayette County, Illinois, the daughter of Edmund and Ella (Schnake) Rubin. She married Omar William Ehrat on June 17,1942 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a member of the Lutheran Woman’s Missionary League, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and was very a proud member of the church choir for over 30 years. She was a bookkeeper for Maske and Ehrat and Lynn’s Sales and Service for the entirety of the businesses. She loved playing cards, gardening, flowers, cooking, watching her husband golf, watching her grandchildren play sports, taking her grandsons and great-grandsons on vacations in the summer, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Westphal (husband Ted) and Mary Ehratboth of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri; two grandchildren, Brian Westphal (wife Lauri) of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Brady Westphal (wife Jenny) of O’Fallon, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Westphal (wife Charlotte) of Boston, Massachusetts, Nicholas Westphal (wife Annalise) Cary, North Carolina, Matthew Westphal of O’Fallon, Illinois, and Michael Westphal of O’Fallon, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Ella Rubin; husband, Omar Ehrat; brother, Lawrence Rubin.
