Lanny Everett Bingman, 68, of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 10:25 a.m. Sunday, June 6, 2021 at his home in Effingham, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois with a one-hour viewing prior to service. Jim Giffin will be officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. Memorials may go to the donor’s choice. Lanny was born on October 17, 1953 in Effingham, Illinois to James and Beatrice (White) Bingman. Lanny was a member of the Effingham Elks Lodge, and the Brotherhood Railroad Signalman Union. He was an avid Cardinal fan, who loved playing golf, fishing, gun shooting and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by son, Anson Bingman (wife Jennifer) of South Jordan, Utah; two brothers, Donnie Bingman (wife Sandy) and Dave Bingman (wife Oneta) both of Effingham, Illinois; two sisters, Karen Beccue of Effingham, Illinois and Valjean Kroenlein (husband Tony) of Edgewood, Illinois; 3 grandchildren, Seth Bingman, and Taya Heaps both in Utah, and Tate Bingman of Altamont, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother in infancy.
