Stacy Nichole Koester, 45, of Effingham, IL, passed into the hands of her Savior on Sunday, April 18, 2021 in her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Stacy was born on August 29, 1975, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Deborah Adams. She graduated from Effingham High School in the Class of 1993 and attended Lake Land College. Stacy married Clint Koester in autumn of 1997, and from this union were born two children, Jade and Luke Koester.

Stacy was a witness for Jesus in that she was always helping others. Everyone who knew Stacy knew her kind heart and her bright personality. Not only was she a counselor and prayer warrior to many, but a truly genuine person. She was a social butterfly with an unmatched sense of humor. Her faith in God was unwavering. Stacy was so knowledgeable in the Bible that she almost spoke it like a second language. She enjoyed graphic design, listening to music, do-it-yourself crafts, and learning Spanish on the side. She was a kind, compassionate, generous, loving, and energetic individual. She was a light in many people’s lives, and a blessing to everyone she touched.

Stacy is survived by her daughter, Jade Koester; son, Luke Koester; mother, Deborah Phillips; aunt and uncle, Dianne (Dave) Smith; several cousins; half-sister, Kary; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Alice Adams-Fennessey; and aunt, Janie Adams.
