Darlene Ann (Venters) Woodworth (79) of Patterson, LA, formerly of Springfield

Darlene Ann (Venters) Woodworth, 79, of Patterson, LA, formerly of Springfield, IL, passed away at 7:14 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at home.

Darlene was born on September 26, 1941, in Mattoon, the daughter of Jesse Eldred and Virginia May (Anderson) Venters. She was an accountant with the Army National Guard in Springfield.  After retiring in 1998, she moved to Louisiana to be closer to loved ones.  Darlene enjoyed volunteering her time with Stitches for a Cause, knitting baby hats and booties for the NICU at HSHS St. John’s Hospital and hats and scarves for the homeless.  She also enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Darlene will lovingly be remembered by her daughter, Staci Marie Davis-Blanchard and husband, Russell John Blanchard Sr.; grandchildren:  Jeremy (Rebeca) Davis, Jason (Jennifer) Davis, Jennifer (Jeramiah) Baker, Joshua Davis, Russell Blanchard Jr. and Kelly Blanchard; great-grandchildren:  Tristan, Logan, Gabriella, Kaylin, Jadon, Kathryn, Joselynn, Julianna, Natalie, Kloe, Hollie-Ann and Everleigh-Rae; great-great grandchild, Marcelline; brothers:  Daniel (Ann) Venters, David (Sharon) Venters and Donald (Dee) Venters.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor followed by graveside services in Windsor Cemetery with Pastor Rena Whitcher officiating.  Memorials may be made in Darlene’s name to the American Red Cross and mailed to Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, %Darlene Woodworth, 207 N. Oak, Windsor, IL 61957.  Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor is assisting the family.
