Ruth Talley, 98, of Nokomis, died at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Nokomis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Private family burial services will be held at a later date at Liberty Cemetery, rural Brownstown. Memorials may be made to the donors’ choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ruth M. Talley was born on Friday, May 12, 1922 in Vandalia, IL to Vernon and Orie (Miksel) Gough. She married Charles J. Talley on February 16, 1957 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2006. Prior to retirement she had been employed as a nurses aid at Fair Havens Senior Living in Decatur.
She is survived by her sons; Charles ‘Bob’ (Kristen) Talley of Pana, Duane (Sherry) Talley of Nokomis, and Kyle (Dianne) Talley of Decatur; daughter, Joy (David) Kollmann of Yorkville; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
