Dawn Marie (Chalfant) Krohe (60) of Vandalia

Dawn Marie (Chalfant) Krohe, 60, of Vandalia, Illinois passed away at 4:50 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in White Hall Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in White Hall, Illinois.

Dawn was born on September 4, 1960, the daughter of Marvin Louis and Norma Jean (Tedrick) Chalfant. She recently retired from teaching at Vandalia Christian Academy. Dawn enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading and loved to visit Ireland.

Surviving are her son, Kristopher Krohe of Taylorville; brothers: Scott (Jamie) Chalfant of Cowden and Kevin (Sherry) Chalfant of New Castle, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Cowden Free Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Cowden Free Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Neville officiating. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery in rural Cowden. Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden is assisting the family.
