Patricia Ann Orsborn (81) of Effingham

Patricia Ann Orsborn, age 81, of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her son’s home, surrounded by family.

A visitation will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Christ Church in Effingham, Illinois with a Celebration of Life to follow. Jeff Michaels will be officiating. Burial will be at Arborcrest Memorial Park in Effingham, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family, American Cancer Society, or the donor’s choice. Patricia was born on September 19, 1939 in Effingham County, Illinois, the daughter of Jesse and Naomi (Burry) Webb. She graduated from Altamont High School in 1938. Patricia started working at Petty Printing in October 1972 where she worked for 36 years and retired October 2008. She married John Orsborn in 1960. To this union, two sons were born.

Pat never knew a stranger; she was so full of life and lived it to the fullest. She was known for her kind heart, contagious smile, and her strong faith in God. She was a strong woman that inspired so many and was determined to fight this cancer until the very end.

Pat loved her grandchildren more than anything else in the world. She loved each and every one of them and was so proud. She drove millions of miles to follow them in all of their milestones in life. Her theory was there is a no such thing as “step”, they were all her grandchildren and treated them all equally. To everyone she was “Grandma Pat”. She filled everyone’s life with such wonderful memories and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Orsborn of Effingham, Illinois and Dallas Orsborn (wife Lisa) of Effingham, Illinois; her beautiful sister, best friend, and hero in life, Nancy Chapple (husband Ray) of Spokane, Washington; grandchildren, Mandie Mines of Knoxville, Illinois, Chad Scarff (wife Kristen) of Collinsville, Illinois, D.J. Orsborn (wife Jenna) of Effingham, Illinois, Daniel Orsborn (wife Betsy) of Effingham, Illinois, Dana Kinsolving (husband Darrin) of Edwardsville, Illinois, Tyler Pilcher (wife Cheyanne) of Effingham, Illinois, Tommy Birch of Chicago, Illinois, Taylor McGee of Springfield, Illinois, Parker McGee of Mattoon, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Kayden Mines, Abe Scarff, Aubrey Orsborn, Kenlie Orsborn, Ellie Orsborn, Camden Orsborn, and a great-grandson due in June.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Naomi Webb; brother, Lyndell Webb; sister-in-law, Margaret Webb.
