Donald Gene Griffith, age 72, of Edgewood, Illinois passed away at 1:34 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. There will be a two hour viewing prior to the service. Burial will be at Watson Cemetery in Watson, Illinois. Memorials may go to the family. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here. Donald was born on September 5, 1948 in Morris, Illinois, the son of Jay L. and Lucille S. (Wilhelmy) Griffith. He married Karen Long on February 4, 1967 at Jackson Township Baptist Church. He was a member of the Edgewood Masonic Lodge, NRA, and Heartland Baptist Church in St. Elmo, Illinois. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Donald is survived by his wife, Karen Griffith of Edgewood, Illinois; son, Sky Griffith (wife Juna) of Effingham, Illinois; daughter, April Rosales (husband Silvano) of Newton, Illinois; brothers, Jay Griffith (wife Gertie) of Iola, Illinois and Charles Griffith (wife Diane) of Findlay, Illinois; two grandchildren, Hillary Falk and Anna Griffith; two great-grandchildren, Emery and Oliva Falk.
He was preceded in death by his parent, Jay and Lucille Griffith; three greatgrandchildren, Baby Falk, Max Falk, and Baby Griffith; nephew, Jeffrey Griffith.
