Beverly Rosalee “Toby” Shupe, 82, of Greenup, IL passed away at 9:00 am Sunday, January 24, 2021 at her residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 pm on Thursday January 28, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 pm on Thursday at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery. Please practice social distancing and masks will be required while attending services.
Toby was born on August 22, 1938 in Gila, IL to Leland and Ivy Lucille (Pitcher) Troxel. She married Walter Jerome Shupe on January 2, 1957. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2009.
Surviving is her children Mark Allen Shupe, Monty Dean (Joy Sue) Shupe and Tina Gabel (Steve Feltner); grandchildren Dillon Alan Shupe (Kelsey), Nathaniel Shea (Alessa) Talley, Ciara S. Daume, Macy Leann Shupe (Levi Keigley), and Devin Shupe (Anastasia); sister Norma Elaine (Ron) Edwards and Four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Leland and mother Ivy Lucille Cuffle and brother Leland Troxel Jr.
Toby worked 37 years for Cumberland Schools as playground noon supervisor. She had also worked at Ettelbrick Shoe Co. in Greenup, Pyroferic in Toledo, and Kern Manufacturing in Neoga. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society. Memorials can be made the Christ the King Catholic Church. Online condolences can be expressed by clicking here.
