Delbert Ray Husher (79) of Altamont

Delbert Ray Husher, 79 of Altamont, entered eternal life on Monday, January 4, 2021 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital of Effingham with family by his side.

A public graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery, Altamont on Friday, January 8th at 2:00 pm with military rites by Gieseking-Schwertdfeger Post #7676. A public visitation will be held for one hour prior to service time at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, IL. COVID-19 protocol including, but not limited to, face covering and social distancing will be required at all times while in the funeral home.

Delbert was born on Saturday, October 4, 1941 in Ashmore Township, Coles County to Fred Husher and Ruth Alice (Swope) Husher. He married June Marie Sims Aug 6, 1960-1990. He married Patricia Ann Kollman on March 24, 1994 in Owensboro, KY. Delbert was employed at Moore’s Business Forms, Charleston. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Delbert was a member of the Westfield United Methodist Church and active in the Men’s Ministry. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting but most of all, precious moments with his family.

He is survived by; his wife, Patricia Husher; sons, Eric (Kelly) Husher, Pendleton, IN, Todd (Denise) Kollman, Mason, IL, Doug (Sheri) Klein, Altamont; daughters, Delia (Michael) Rice, Fisher, IL, Elizabeth (Jim) Camp, Senoia, GA, Annette (Chuck) Cline, Altamont, Angela (Rodney) Eubank, Leavenworth, KS; brother, Arthur David Bernice) Husher, Centralia; sister Lodema (Bob) Travis, Paris, IL; 21 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; his parents, Fred and Ruth Husher; sister, Rogene Grissom and one sister in infancy; grandchild, Cody Allen Klein; great-grandchild Weston LaJoie.
