Noah William Taylor, 86, of rural Beecher City died Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

Noah Taylor was born on May 27, 1934 in rural Loudon Township, Fayette County, Beecher City, Illinois into the Christian family of Thurman and Avis Ione Baker-Taylor-Julius. Noah lived with and was raised by his Grandparents Thomas and Amy Baker.

Noah wed Ruby Irene Morris on August 14, 1954 at the Fayette County Courthouse, Vandalia, Illinois. He was employed by the Norge Corporation which became Fedders USA in Effingham. In April of 1999 Noah retired after 46 ½ of employment. Noah also worked for the Richardson Brothers Greenhouse for many years during times of layoff from Norge/Fedders.

Noah loved to hunt, and worked on automobiles in his younger years, and was a lifelong “yard warrior”. After retirement, he took up woodworking and played with the Prairieland Pickers and The Singing Strings music groups. He was especially fond of playing at the local nursing homes each Thursday. Noah was a life-long and faithful member of the First Church of God in St. Elmo.

He is survived by his: Wife:Ruby Irene-Morris-Taylor of St. Elmo, Illinois; Son: Tommy Lee Taylor of Vandalia, Illinois and his 2-daughters: Anna Mae Taylor, Jamie Danielle Taylor; 3-Daughters: Brenda Kay (special friend, Patrick K. Williams) Taylor of St. Elmo, Illinois; Sherry Diane (husband, Calvin) Baker of St. Elmo, Illinois and their 2-daughters: Vanessa Lynn (husband, Jed) Adams, Olivia Grace Baker, Amy Elizabeth Moore of Mattoon, Illinois,and her daughter:Erica Lynae Moore.

Noah was preceded in death by Parents: Thurman Taylor and Avis Ione Taylor-Julius; Grandparents: Thomas and Amy Baker.

Funeral services will be at 2pm Saturday, January 2, 2021 at First Church of God in St. Elmo. Visitation will be from 1-2pm Saturday at the church. Kull Funeral Home is assisting.
