Arline R. Crockett (92) of Mattoon

Arline R. Crockett, 92, of Mattoon, formerly from Neoga, passed away at 5:15 AM, Thursday, December 24, 2020 in the Odd Fellow Rebekah Nursing Home in Mattoon.

She was born September 19, 1928 in Chicago, the daughter of Forrest and Margaret (Hilmer) Smith. Arline married Herald Crockett, October 19, 1947 in Neoga, and Mr. Crockett passed away November 25, 1983. She was a former employee of Kern Manufacturing in Neoga, and loved Arts and Crafts especially crocheting. Arline was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church of Neoga, and former member of Neoga American Legion Auxiliary.

Arline leaves her Sons, David Crockett of Monticello, Illinois and William Crockett (Carol) of Lexington, Tennessee; two grandchildren; five step grandchildren: one great granddaughter and six step great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by, her parents; husband, Herald Crockett and brother, Richard Forrest. 

Memorials are suggested to the Grace United Methodist Church in Neoga.

As per Arline’s wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded and a celebration of her life will be at a later date.
