Emma C. Dawkins, 101, passed away at 8:40 PM Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Flora Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Flora.

Emma was born on November 15, 1919, in Winnebago County, Iowa, the daughter of the late Edward and Abigail (Bunch) Bullard. She married Loren O. Dawkins, on July 20, 1942, and they shared 34 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on December 2, 1976. Emma was a homemaker and was a member of the Red Brush Christian Church and the Illinois Farm Bureau. She was a kind, caring person known for her willingness to selflessly contribute to her church and her community and will be remembered for her wonderful pies and her quilts.

Emma is survived by her children: Ed (Alice) Dawkins, of Louisville, Kay Warner, of Oakwood, Illinois, 5 grandchildren: Anthony (Janessa) Dawkins, of Louisville, Rachel (Adam) Porter, of Charleston, Illinois, Wesley (Hillary) Dawkins, of Louisville, Jason (Melissa) Warner, of Oakwood, Illinois, Julie (David Smith) Warner, of Danville, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Gerald Frye, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dawkins was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, Richard Warner, 3 grandchildren: Jeffrey Warner, Timothy Dawkins, Sean McCash, and 2 siblings: Esther Richardson, Elbert Bullard.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Flora Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for the kind care given to their mother. The family would also like to thank the Red Brush Christian Church for their strong commitment in lifting her up in prayer and bringing her communion and visits.

Private family funeral services will be held at the Red Brush Christian Church, Louisville, with Cecil Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at the Red Brush Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Oil Belt Christian Service Camp or Red Brush Christian Church.
