Maurice Eddie Farrell, 81, of Altamont died at 1:26pm Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Eddie was born on Wednesday, March 22, 1939 in Effingham, IL to Carl Edwin and Merle Marie (Steely) Farrell. He married Sue (Wallace) Conner on April 26, 2003 in Louisville, IL. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Louisville, was honorably discharged from the Illinois National Guard and retired from Motorola where he had worked as an executive.
Eddie is survived by his wife of over 17 years, Sue Conner of Altamont; sons, Jeff Farrell and his wife Suzanne of Austin, TX, Rusty Conner and his wife Deb of Altamont, Marty Conner of Milwaukee, OR, and Michael Conner and his wife Vicki of Altamont; daughter, Jennifer Pichette and her husband Pete of Austin, TX; sister, Nancy Smith of Aiken, SC; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 grandson, Benjamin Michael Conner.
