Robert Stine (76) of Altamont

Robert E. Stine, 76, of Altamont, died at 11:35 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the Altamont Christian Church. Burial will follow at Stein-Stine Cemetery, St. James. Visitation will be for one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to family and friends of those experiencing COVID-19 difficulties. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements. COVID-19 protocol, including, but not limited to face covering and social distancing will be required.
Robert E. Stine was born in Indianapolis, IN on Sunday, April 30, 1944. He was the son of Gerald and Dorothy (Reese) Stine. Bob married Donna Dickman on April 9, 1966 in Effingham. He was retired from Caterpillar, Inc., Decatur.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by; son, Robert J. (Nancy) Stine, Altamont; daughter, Laura M.A. Stine, East Dundee; brother, Joseph (Jeanine) Baker, TX; sisters, Margery (Vernon) Lovett, Orange Park, FL and Rebecca Mosquera, Fayetteville, TN; 4 grandchildren, Logan Stine, Jonna (Matt) Harris, Richard Dalton Stine, Alexis Scogin; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
