Rebecca Lee “Becky” McCrary, age 62, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 3:13 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Private family services will be held. In loving memory of Becky, memorials may be made to the Madelyn and Jazlynn Starwalt education fund and can be sent to the McCrary Family, 8115 North 500th Street, Newton, Illinois 62448. Arrangements are under the care of Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.

Rebecca Lee, better known as Becky was born on September 22, 1958, in Watervliet, Michigan, the daughter of Robert Glenn and Melba Eileen (Lewis) Grove.  She married Fred Arthur McCrary on September 29, 1989, and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2010.

Becky had worked at ER Moore Cap and Gown Factory, GSI, Newton Power Station, and most recently at Buds and Blossoms.  She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Newton, Illinois.

Becky enjoyed sewing, flowers, Christmas, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Becky is survived by: Children – Nettie “Kati” McCrary of Greenup, Illinois; Greg (Kristi) McCrary of Haubstadt, Indiana; and Heather (B.J.) Dugans of Evansville, Indiana
Father – Robert Grove of Newton, Illinois. Grandchildren – Madelyn Diane Eileen Starwalt, Jazlynn Ruth Lee Starwalt, Tyler McCrary, Meghan McCrary, Benjamin Dugans, Gabriel Dugans and William Dugans Brother – Stephen (Diane) Grove of Golden Gate, Florida. Sister – Cindy Reynolds of Newton, Illinois. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Becky was preceded in death by her mother, husband, brother Ronald “Toad” Grove, and sister Linda Briggs.
