Larry Joe Manning, 81, of Willow Hill entered into eternal peace on August 20, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Larry was born on March 21, 1939 in Hunt City, Illinois to Joe and Scharlene Manning. After graduating Newton Community High School in 1957, Larry served his country for two years in the U.S. Army. He started his career life with the railroad, then trucking, and found his niche in the insurance industry. In May of 1963, he married Lynda Burnett, and they had two children Kimberly and Larry Jr.

Larry enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, ballroom dancing and socializing with his family and friends. He was a kind and generous man always willing to give of himself to those in need.

He leaves behind his children Kimberly and Larry Manning; grandchildren Nathan Warman, Kelsey Killebrew, and Joey Manning; great-grandchildren Keondra and Kaleyce all of Indianapolis, Indiana along with daughter-in-kind Madonna Manning of Patoka, Illinois.

Cremations rites were accorded to Mr. Manning. A memorial service celebrating Larry’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Crain Funeral Home in Newton with Pastor Phil Boyd officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery.
