Esther Worman (90) of Dieterich

Esther Clara Worman, age 90, of Dieterich, Illinois, passed away at 11:52 AM Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, Illinois.

Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Montrose, Illinois with Father Joe Carlos celebrating mass. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Dieterich, Illinois. In loving memory of Esther, memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and mailed to the care of Patsy Althoff, 821 County Road 900 East, Toledo, Illinois 62468. Esther Clara was born on March 16, 1930, in Effingham County, Illinois, the daughter of William and Cecelia (Swingler) Althoff. She married Herbert Henry on August 20, 1949 in Lilyville, Illinois and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1999.

Esther was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Montrose, Illinois where she was a faithful member of the catholic ladies sodality and always willing to volunteer. She loved being a farm wife and homemaker as well as knitting, crocheting and reading.

Esther is survived by 5 Children - Gene (Marilyn) Worman of Dieterich, Illinois; Patsy (Danny) Althoff of Toledo, Illinois; Joan (Kenny) Grunloh of Teutopolis, Illinois; Annie (Kent) Jansen of Sigel, Illinois and Paul (Patty) Worman of Dieterich, Illinois; Sister - Matilda Schmidt of Effingham, Illinois; 11 Grandchildren; 26 Great-grandchildren with another due in February.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Albert, Walter, Carl, Bill, Harold, Helen Althoff and Mary Ann Mette.
