Jerry W. Hinkle, 71, of Cisne and formerly of Louisville, passed away at 7:00 am on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Flora Gardens in Flora.

He was born on April 12, 1949 in Louisville, the son of the late Pearl and Opal (Robinson) Hinkle. Jerry married Kay Pemberton on September 23, 1976 in Salem and she passed away on March 17, 2015.

Mr. Hinkle was in the Environmental Waste business for many years, primarily specializing in the removal of asbestos. He liked to go fishing and loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by a daughter; Christy (Jeremy) King of Cisne, a step son, Michael Corey Shaw of Danville, five grandchildren; Lacey Hassebrock, Travis Potter, Dylan McPeak, Dakota King and Grant McPeak, three great grandchildren, Macey Potter, Tucker Potter and Ryatt Hassebrock, a brother; Frank (Marjorie) Hinkle of Louisville, a sister; Wanda Gerber of Louisville and by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Jerry was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Hinkle, brothers; Louis Richard “Tom” Hinkle, Cecil Hinkle and recently Norman Hinkle. Norman passed away just three days before Jerry.  

Funeral services honoring the life of Jerry will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the Triplett & Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Carroll Ross will officiate. Interment will follow at Christian Home Cemetery in rural Louisville. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of services at 3:00 pm.
