Troy Webb Timm, 87, formerly of Greenup, IL passed away at 11:33 AM Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Mason Point in Sullivan, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral chapel. Masonic services will be given at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in the Tuscola Cemetery.
Webb was born September 8, 1932 in Tuscola, IL. The son of Troy and Mamie (Arwine) Timm. He married Betty Martin and to this union three children were born. He then married Loretta Lynn (Lenz) Timm and she preceded him. He later married Judy Sherwood in February of 1987 and she preceded him in 2010.
He is survived by his son, Gregory T. Timm of Charleston, IL; daughters, Nancy Prewitt of Homestead, FL and Patty (Michael) Carter of Ogden, IL; four grandchildren, Robin (Derrick) Gill, Christina Carter, Nicholas Carter and Kimberly (Tom) Parrish; eight great-grandchildren, Ryelynn Gill, Piper and Skyler Langley, Austin, Dylan and Clark Carter, and Kamryn and Bradyn Soard; brother, George Timm; and sister, Judy Vincent.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph Arwine and son-in-law Lowell Prewitt.
Webb worked for the Mattoon Fire department for 28 years. He was the Cumberland County Emergency Management Coordinator for 24 years and was the grounds keeper of the Greenup ball fields for 27 years. He was a member of the Mattoon Masonic Lodge 260, Toledo Masonic Lodge 834 and the Greenup Masonic Lodge 125. Webb was the grand commander of the Knights Templar.
