Kenneth R. Martin (76) of Altamont

Kenneth R. Martin, 76, of Altamont died at 5:50am Thursday, June 11, 2020 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

According to Kenny’s wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Blue Mound Tavern, Altamont. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family witharrangements.

Kenny was born on Saturday, September 18, 1943 to James Samuel and Edith (Gehman) Martin. He married Linda L. Swofford on July 19, 1984. He was a self-employed over the road truck driver.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons; Carl Martin and his fiancé Brandy Warren of Effingham, James Martin and his fiancé Rebecca Quandt of Watson; daughters, Diane Cabello (Joe), Irving, IL, Sandy and her fiancé Bobby Webb of Shumway, Melinda Ritchey, Louisville, Diana Walker and her fiance Ivan Blackwellof Springfield; brother, Roger Martin, Red Hill, PA; sister, Shirley Billiard (Larry), Red Hill, PA; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
