Linda Lee Pfeifer Katz, 79, of Effingham, IL passed away at 8:21 PM Wedneday, May 13, 2020 at Evergreen Nursing & Rehab Center in Effingham, IL.
Private services will be held. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery rural Greenup, IL. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family.
Linda was born on July 21, 1940 in Casey, IL to Marshall and Maudeline (Stallings) Kemper. She married Jim Pfeifer in August of 1960 and he preceded her in death on October 6, 1984. Linda later married Fred Katz in May of 1991.
Surviving is her husband; sons Jim Pfeifer of High Ridge MO, Jeff Pfeifer of Toledo, IL and Mike Pfeifer of Effingham, IL; three grandchildren Tyler Pfeifer, Trinity Marty, and Colton Marty; brother Rex (Frances) Kemper and a sister Nancy (Ron) Fleenor.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Marshall “Les” Kemper. Linda had worked as a hairdresser, Pyroferic in Toledo, Polly Foam in Effingham. She also worked at Keller Ramada and Walmart in Effingham. Online condolences can be expressed by clicking here.
