Frank William Aldridge, age 90, of Olney, Illinois, passed away at 9:30 AM - Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Newton Care Center in Newton, Illinois.

Private family services will be held at Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Burial will be in the Dundas Cemetery in Dundas, Illinois. In loving memory of Frank, memorials may be made to dedicated staff of Newton Care Center and mailed to the Aldridge Family, 603 South Grant Street, Oblong, Illinois, 62449. The funds will be used for the dedicated staff of the COVID-19 team, who have spent countless hours caring for the nursing home residents. Frank was born on January 29, 1930, in Jasper County, Illinois, the son of James John and Clara M. (Canny) Aldridge. He married Betty Jean Childers on April 30, 1951, and she preceded him in death on September 18, 1983.

Frank served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Frank was a grain and livestock farmer and raised Herford cattle. He was a security guard at Pacific Cycle in Olney, Illinois, for several years.

Frank enjoyed taking care of his cattle and hunting. He was a member of the Jasper Post #20 American Legion, Olney Memorial VFW Post #4226 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2549 of Olney.

Frank is survived by:

Daughters - Pam Steber of Olney, Illinois and Cindy (Gary) Weger of Oblong, Illinois

Grandchildren- Stephanie Weger of Oblong, Illinois; Sara (Tim) Johnson of Oblong, Illinois; Sherry Williams of Oblong, Illinois; Trent Smith of Sims, Illinois; Jeff (Sam) Miller of Shelburn, Indiana; Tina Steber of Florida and Lori Smith of Wayne City, Illinois.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law Dave Steber, grandson Joey Steber, sister Mable Urfer and three brothers Norman, George and Henry Aldridge.
