Victor William Hollman, 94, of Effingham, passed away at 9:57 PM Friday, March 1, 2013 at Evergreen Nursing Center.

Funeral service is 2 PM Monday, March 4, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham with burial to follow at Arborcrest Memorial Park, Effingham. Visitation is 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials are requested to St. John’s Lutheran Church. Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood is handling arrangements.

Victor was born on June 24, 1918 in St. Peter, the son of Edward William and Amelia (Storck) Hollman.

He worked for 20 years at John Deere as a mechanic and retired from the former World Color Press. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed woodworking in his shop. His family will remember him as hard working, easy going, and a great pinochle card player. He will be greatly missed. Victor was also a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham.

Surviving are his daughter; Vickie Darling and Joyce Connours both of Effingham, grandchildren; Sash, Kayla, and Kurt (wife, Kelli), and 7 great grandchildren.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, son; Laverne in infancy, wives; Lawrene, Irene, and Lorna, son in law; Jack Connours, brother; Martin Hollman, sister; Edna Grandt, 2 nephews, and 3 grandchildren.
