Mickey Allen Dial, 68, of Altamont, IL, died at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2020, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Effingham, IL.
There will be no services held at this time and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mickey was born on Saturday, September 1, 1951 to William Jacob and Carrie Lucille (Hissong) Dial in rural St. Elmo, IL. During his working career he had been employed with Caterpillar, Texas Instruments, World Color Press, and Laclede Steel and most recently as a salesman at NAPA Auto Parts, Vandalia, IL. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending gun shows.
He is survived by: his daughter, Mindy D. (Chris) Asplin of Altamont, IL; and grandsons, Parker (Laura) Asplin of Lincoln, IL, and Gabe Asplin of Altamont, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jacob Dial and Carrie Lucille Pryor; brother, William Stanley Dial; and a sister, Mary Helen Strong.
