Phyllis Lorraine Will 80 years old of rural Altamont died at 6:55 Wednesday morning March 4, 2020 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri after being a patient for a short time.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, March 9 in the Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, rural Altamont, Illinois with Rev. Marcus Manley officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Monday at the church. Christian Burial Rites will follow immediately after the funeral service in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Phyllis was born on August 26, 1939 at home in Lucas Township near the Effingham-Clay County Line, near Louisville, Illinois into the Christian family of Walter and Louise Dammerman-Mellendorf. She was baptized on September 10, 1939; confirmed her faith on March 29, 1953 and married Alvin Carl Will on October 20, 1963 by Rev. Schlie all at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Louisville, Illinois. Phyllis and her late husband were engaged in active farming most of their entire lives. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, the Effingham Farm Bureau and the Dairy Farmers of America. In her later years she most enjoyed delivering for Meals on Wheels.

Phyllis is survived by her Brother-in-law:Leo Stuckemeyer of Altamont, Illinois, and 2-Sisters-in-law:Mary Lou Mellendorf of Springfield, IL and Irma Mellendodrf of Dieterich, Illinois, 9 Nieces and Nephews and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Parents: Walter and Louise Mellendorf, Husband Alvin Carl Will on September 20, 1999, 2-Brothers: Floyd and Dale Mellendorf and 1-Sister:Viola Stuckemeyer.
