Jack A. Durbin, 71, of Brownstown died on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3 at Liberty Christian Church, rural Brownstown, with Tom Fedrigon officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and for one hour prior to service time all at the church. Memorials may be made to Liberty Christian Church, Liberty Cemetery or the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Jack Allen Durbin was born on March 12, 1948 in Vandalia, IL to Kenneth M. and Dorothy M. (Allen) Durbin. He was a member of Liberty Christian Church. He had been employed with FS, Vandalia and was a life-long farmer. He married Dorothy M. (Burkhart) Gibson on July 19, 2002 and she preceded him in death on December 29, 2019.

He is survived by: sons, John Durbin of Ft. Worth, TX, Justin (Jessica) Durbin of Mulberry Grove, Jeremy (best friend, Jessica “Amico”) Durbin of Vandalia and Chandler Durbin of Clay City; daughter, Kenley (fiancé Brandon Owens) of Flora; sister, Janet (Bruce) Sprenger, Collinsville and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends.
