Coralie Evelyn (Wetherell) Guthrie, 92, of Springfield went to be with the Lord at 4:55 pm on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Concordia Village in Springfield with family by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 27 at Peace Lutheran Church, 2800 W. Jefferson St, Springfield, IL with Pastor Mary Zupanich officiating. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery, 308 E. North 6th St, Shelbyville, IL. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be made in Coralie’s name to Peace Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.
Coralie was born February 9, 1928 at home in Shumway, IL, the daughter of Seth and Alma (Laue) Wetherell. She taught school for 22 years. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, & crocheting, as well as weekly Bible Study at church.
She is survived by a sister, Ruth (Roger) Swanson of Monona, IA and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers: Elwyn (Eileen) Wetherell, Delano “Bud” (Viola) Wetherell; sisters: Jean (John) Lynch, Thelma (Bill) Sasse, Nora (Roy) Ruud and Joan (Gene) Beatty.
