Adelia M. Banning, age 90, of Edgewood, Illinois passed away at 11:35 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2020.

Adelia was born on November 24, 1929 in Omega Township, Marion County, Illinois, the daughter of Donald and Lila (Remsburg) Marlow. She married Harley Banning in 1948. Adelia and her husband enjoyed their rural farm life where they raised their family. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her many flowers, and horseback riding when she could. She retired from St. Anthony Memorial Hospital where she worked for many years. Adelia worked in the nursery where she loved spoiling those precious babies, including many of her own grandbabies.

Harley and Adelia were the parents of four children that survive them, Jacqueline Smith (husband Robert), Keith Banning (wife Donna), Donald Banning (wife Cathy) all of Edgewood, Illinois and Joyce Rodgers of Effingham, Illinois. Also surviving are her sisters, Barbara Hampson of Altamont, Illinois and Betty Marlow of Kell, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lila Marlow; husband, Harley Banning; brothers, William Marlow, Phillip Marlow, and Harold Marlow; sisters, Launa Jackson, Rosa Lee Seago, and Janice Ernest.
