Frank Cornelius Miller, 97, of Beecher City, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, in his family home, surrounded by loved ones.

Frank was born on August 18, 1922, in Beecher City, the son of Samuel and Minnie (High) Miller. He was a 1940 graduate of Cowden High School and a WWII Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. Frank and Bonnie Neal were united in holy matrimony on June 2, 1943 and were blessed with 75 wonderful years together. Over the years, Frank worked at Electro- Motive, Pipeline Services and Gaido-Lingle. After raising their seven children, Frank and Bonnie enjoyed traveling and were proud to say they had traveled to all 50 states. Frank was a long-time member of the Beecher City Church of Christ. Frank lived a long, wonderful life. He adored his family and also had a love for trains and John Deere tractors.

Surviving are Frank and Bonnie’s children: Nina Geltz of Florida, Vera Ann “Kitty” Shott of Texas, Hollis (Carol) Miller of Illinois, Stanly Miller of West Virginia and Tonya (Nicalas) Reyes of Texas; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and brother, Ray Miller of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie and two children: Jean Shuman and James R. Miller.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the Beecher City Church of Christ with Pastor Dennis Warner officiating. Inurnment will take place in Hubbartt Cemetery in rural Beecher City. Memorials may be made in Frank’s name to the Beecher City Church of Christ. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City is assisting the family.
