James Allison Dryden, 93, of Toledo, IL passed away at 5:55 am Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, IL.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday January 22 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral chapel. Masonic Rites will be given at 7:30 pm Tuesday evening after visitation. Burial will be in the Mullen Cemetery rural Montrose.

James was born in Geneva, IL on August 13, 1926 to Waldo and Helen (Allison) Dryden. He married Leoma Kingery on June 15, 1946 and she preceded him in 2013.

Survivors include his children Dennis (Lois) Dryden of Jewett, Sandra Millsap of Montrose, Mary K (Bill) Calvert of Toledo, Nancy (Mike) Sowers of Greenup, Lou Ann (Larry) Davis of Rogersville, AL and Keith (Sandy) Dryden of Toledo; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents; a son Ray Thomas Dryden; brother Tom Dryden; two grandsons Duane and Dean Dryden and one great granddaughter Millie King.

James was a Union Laborer and was a member of Local 159 for 67 years. He was a 42 year member of Toledo Masonic Lodge #834 AFAM and a member of Toledo Eastern Star #231. He attended both the Salem United Methodist Church and Jewett Community Church.
