Louise C. Niebrugge, 95, passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 at her home in Sigel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Sigel with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorial donations may be given to St. Michael’s School. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.

Louise was born July 7, 1924 in Effingham, the daughter of John B. and Rosa (Verdeyen) Bushur. She married Martin H. Niebrugge on June 12,1943 and he preceded her in death in 1989. Louise was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm. She was a member of St. Michael Church in Sigel, where she was the last surviving member of the ladies prayer group.

Louise is survived by her children, Phillip (Kathleen) Niebrugge of Decatur, Eugene (Jan) Niebrugge of Waukesha, WI, Charles (Jeannine) Niebrugge of Decatur, Norma Jean Newman of Effingham, Bernard Niebrugge of Keithville, LA, Diane (Billy) Wheat of Chandler, TX, Theresa (David) Rogers of Mason, Marcia (Dean) Fearday of Neoga, Steve Niebrugge of Altamont, Linda (John) Temple of Ingraham, Joan Mendenhall of Sigel, Mark (Jeannette) Niebrugge of Sigel, Caroline Niebrugge of Effingham and Curt (Maisa) Niebrugge of Huber Heights, OH; son-in-law, Lester Cheadle of San Diego, CA; brothers, Donald (Anna Mae) Bushur of Sigel and Leonard (Rosemary) Bushur of Effingham; brother-in-law, Virgil Goeckner of Effingham; sisters-in-law, Bertha Bushur and Anna Marie Niebrugge, both of Effingham; brother-in-law, Galen Williams of Paragould, AR; 48 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchild.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Patricia Cheadle and Constance "Connie" Laver; brother, Harold; sister, Hilma; son-in-law, George Newman and Mike Mendenhall; daughters-in-law, Peggy Niebrugge and Judy Niebrugge; sister- in-law, Celeste Williams; great-great-grandson, Zachary Jackson.
