Molly L. Suttle, 77, of Shumway, IL, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

A celebration of Molly’s life will be held at a later date. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to New Hope Church in Effingham. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here.

Molly was born on March 30, 1942, in Success, AR, the daughter of Harry and Vinnie (Thorsland) Hardin. She was married to Charles Suttle Jr. for 26 years. Molly enjoyed going to wineries, traveling with family and friends, and going on bus trips with her husband. She always loved going out once a month with “the happy four,” consisting of Sue, Helen, Gladys, and herself. Molly and Charles had visited 48 states and she loved going on cruises, especially to Hawaii and Alaska. She had been retired for 25 years from working in the shoe sales industry for over 20 years. Molly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family, friends, and neighbors were the most important thing to her. She also had many nieces and nephews that she cared about very much.

Molly is survived by her husband, Charles Suttle Jr.; daughter, Annette (Bill) Gaulden; son, Richard (Brian) Adamo; step-sons, Charles (Yvonne) Suttle, Greg (Sandy) Suttle, Brad (Jeannie) Suttle; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers; and 2 sisters.
