Roberta Lee Stevens, 54, of Cowden, IL, formerly of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 7 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Steve Neville officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Crossroads Cancer Center or HSHS Hospice Southern Illinois.
Roberta was born on November 13, 1964 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Lawrence Eldon and Roberta May (Portwood) Stevens. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1982. Roberta was a material handler for International Paper in Shelbyville, IL for many years. She was affiliated with the Free Methodist Church in Cowden and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Roberta is survived by her brothers, Paul E. Stevens and R. Darin Stevens both of Cowden, IL; sisters, Beverley E. Hopkins of Seneca, MO and Joyce I. Pendlay of Cowden, IL; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sherrie M. Collins, Shirley A. Arkebauer, Pamela R. Brown and Marla K. Powers; and niece, Kristal D. Brown.
