Rob Jason Street, 48, of Wheeler, IL passed away at 3:48 PM Monday, September 16, 2019 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 21 at Scott Avenue Christian Church in Newton, IL. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday evening at the church. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery, Wheeler, IL. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.

Rob was born March 20, 1971 the son of Robert Eugene “Gene” and Marcella Mae (Tarr) Street. He married the love of his life Mindy Will on September 7, 1996. He is survived by his wife; mother; son Preston Street and daughter in love Katelyn Hardiek; daughter Chandler Street; sisters Vada (Bob) Reisner and Donna (Lee) Elmore; brother Rick (Patsy) Street; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father and nephews Dan Reisner and Dalton Street.

Rob had a love for his family, community and pets. He was a member of Scott Avenue Christian Church. He loved fishing, hunting, the Illini, cooking, and watching Diner’s Drive-Ins and Dives. He was construction superintendent for Grunloh Construction for six years. He was a member of the Union Local 634 for 23 years, Jasper Unit #1 School Board member, the head coach of the Newton Community High School Fishing Team, and the President of Newton Junior Football League.
