Mark W. Jackson, age 53, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 9:17 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2019 in St. Elmo, Illinois.

There will be a celebration of Mark’s life at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11 at The Cross at Wren Bridge. The celebration of life is open to everyone that wants to come to a positive atmosphere to share stories, memories, and pictures of Mark. There will be free refreshments. NO ALCOHOL. Mark was born on October 22, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Glendal F. and Anita M. (Turner) Jackson. He married Suzanne Powell on May 27, 2014 in Marion, Kentucky. He loved fishing, camping, and anything that involved being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Jackson of St. Elmo, Illinois; daughter, Ketra Sidwell (husband Ryan) of Kinmundy, Illinois; step-son, William Figgins of St. Elmo, Illinois; two brothers, Frank Jackson of Brownstown, Illinois and Douglas Jackson (wife Leslie) of Vandalia, Illinois; two sisters, Kelly Powers of Caseyville, Illinois, Bobbie Beshears (husband Tommy) of Brownstown, Illinois; four grandchildren, Parker Sidwell, Trevan Sidwell, Brantley Sidwell, and Rya Sidwell; brother-in-law, Mark Powell (wife MaryEllen) of Kirkland, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glendal Jackson and Anita Miller; and one sister, Anita Sellers.
