Betty R. Lowe, 65, of St. Elmo, died at 7:18 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 27 at Sidener Cemetery, St. Elmo. Memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Betty was born on Sunday, February 21, 1954 in St. Elmo to Oscar and Hazel (Carroll) Schuster. She married John Lowe on October 6, 1973. She was a homemaker and had worked at various locations throughout the area for many years.
She is survived by her husband of over 45 years, John of St. Elmo; son, Michael (Christina) of Indiana; brothers, Gary (Jo) Schuster of North Augusta, SC, Danny (Linda) Schuster of Decatur, and Don (Rita) Schuster of Springfield, OH; sisters, Linda (Gerald) Holste of Altamont and Helen (Larry) Kramer of St. Elmo; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
