Don Propeck, age 78, of Loogootee, Illinois passed away at 1:02 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Loogootee, Illinois, with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor Krista Stokke will be officiating. Don was born on February 27, 1941 in Bloomington, Illinois the son of Harold William Propeck and Zelda Jane (Turner) Propeck. He married Lois Elaine Case on October 27, 1968 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Loogootee, Illinois. He was the Pastor at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Jamestown, Illinois and was a part time Pastor at various churches over the years for 20 plus years. Don drove a school bus in Buffalo, NY for 20 plus years and held several administrative positions working with developmentally disabled adults. Don enjoyed watching sports. Spending time with his family, kids and grandchildren brought him great enjoyment.

Don is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lois; son, Gregory William Propeck (Miranda Hartz) of Vandalia, Illinois; two daughters, Valerie Propeck McClimon (Patrick) of Loogootee, Illinois, and Suzanne Propeck-Gray (Anthony) of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren, Nathan Gray, Rhiannon Gray, Gabriel Propeck, and Harrison Propeck; two step-grandchildren, Rylee Velazequez and Trinity Velazequez; four sisters, Karen Greco of Highland Park, Anna Cully of Atlanta, Georgia, Pamela Buric of Sacramento, California, and Jeanne Berger of Gibson City, Illinois.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Jane Propeck.
