James L. Hutchinson, 77, of Windsor, Illinois passed away at 11:39 A.M. Tuesday February 26, 2019, in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center of Coles County, Illinois.

He was born September 14, 1941, in Charleston, Illinois the son of Robert and Billie Jeane (Ferris) Hutchinson. James married Judy Kaye Thompson August 4, 1961, in Trilla, Illinois. He served in the United States Navy from 1959 until 1963. James was a retired package deliverer and semi driver for U.P.S. in Mattoon, Illinois.

James was an avid golfer and very much enjoyed watching his children's and grandchildren's ball games. He was a member of the Windsor Christian Church and the Windsor American Legion Post #725 both of Windsor, Illinois.

Mr. Hutchinson leaves his wife Judy of Windsor, Illinois; four children, Billie (Bill) Lawyer of Sullivan, Illinois, Abbie (Dirk) Frank of Mattoon, Illinois, Jeff Hutchinson (Trisha) of Mattoon, Illinois and Jim Hutchinson Jr. and his special friend Amber of Windsor, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Whitney, Blayne, Austin, Aubrey, Reynae, Ross, Ryan, Sidney and Nicholas; seven great grandchildren, Isla, Brooks, Madisyn, Dallas, Brantley, Bryston and Jameson; two brothers, Bobby (Glenda) Hutchinson of Savoy, Illinois and Tim Hutchinson of Mattoon, Illinois; cousin Tobye Davis of Tempe, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher; two brothers, Rusty and Bill Hutchinson.

Memorials are suggested to be made to the Windsor Christian Church, the Windsor American Legion or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

A Celebration of James' life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 2 in the Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois, with Pastor Richard Eident officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday. Burial will be in the Beals Cemetery, rural Trilla, Illinois. Military services will be provided by Windsor American Legion Post 725 and Strasburg Post 289. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, IL is in charge of arrangements.
