Patricia Marie "Pat" Barnett, 87, of Neoga, Illinois passed away at 7:43 P.M. Monday February 25, 2019, in her daughter’s residence in Humboldt, Illinois.

She was born August 2, 1931, in Lovington, Illinois, the daughter of Murray A. and Edith Marie (Burcham) Foster. She married George Rex Barnett Jr., March 27, 1964 in Mattoon, Illinois. Pat was a housewife and homemaker and she loved flowers, crocheting, cooking and especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 458 of Neoga, Illinois, The Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post 6410 and the Moose Lodge Chapter 312 both of Mattoon, Illinois.

Mrs. Barnett leaves her husband of over 54 years, George R. Barnett, Jr.; three children, Rev. James Brosam of Lovington, Illinois, Deborah A. Hostetter (Charles) of Humboldt, Illinois and George R. Barnett III of Flower Mound, Texas; one brother, Ronald Dycus (Barbara) of Springfield, Illinois; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Jerry Taylor; one son, Scott Barnett; two sisters, Joann and Margaret Foster.

Memorials are suggested to The American Legion Auxiliary of Neoga, Illinois.

In accordance with Patricia’s wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded and there will be no services at this time. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, IL is in charge of arrangements.
