Patrick J. Milano, 78, of Effingham, IL, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Sebring, Florida.

Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Patrick was born on February 12, 1941, in Centralia, IL, the son of Dominick and Charlene (Noller) Milano. He was united in marriage to Connie Kay Gholson on June 11, 1964, in Centralia, IL, and she preceded him in death on March 21, 2015.

Patrick was a Founding Partner of Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC and was a licensed Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois and completed graduate studies at New Mexico State, Bradley University, and the University of Houston. 

He was a member of the Heart Shrine Club and Effingham Elks Lodge #1016. Patrick enjoyed traveling, camping, and restoring antique tractors.

Patrick is survived by his son, Scott Milano of Effingham; daughter, Michelle (Charles “Chip”) Merkley of Pottstown, PA; siblings, Donna (Wallace “Butch”) Linder of Odin, James (Mary Ann) Milano of Salem, Karen Smith of Odin, Phil (Julia) Milano of Odin, Tina (Jim) Horton of Odin, and Nicky Hayes of Odin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Connie.
