Dorothy M. Huskey, 89 of Brownstown died at 11:10 a.m., Sunday, January 27, 2019 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown with Tim Caraway officiating. Burial will follow at Griffith Cemetery, Brownstown. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
Dorothy was born Sunday, August 25, 1929 in East St. Louis, IL to Clarence and Pearl (Hand) Rayoum. She married Marvin L. Huskey on January 24, 1947 in East St. Louis, IL and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1999. She was a homemaker and a Christian.
She is survived by; her sons, Philip (Kathy) Huskey, Brownstown, Martin (Nancy) Huskey, Vandalia; daughters, Linda Shaw, Brownstown, Jeanne Thomas, Brownstown; grandchildren, Matt, Renee, Jimmy, Tonja, Stacey, Shelly, Heather, Cori, Chandler, Tad, and Craig; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by; her parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 sister in infancy.
